Register now for Mini-THON’s 2023 Car Decorating Contest!
Rules:
Anyone can participate! Students from any grade, teachers, and staff all have an equal opportunity to win!
Car decorations must be school-appropriate
You must pay the participation fee and adhere to registration deadlines to have your car considered
Steps:
Fill out the registration form
Pay the $10 participation fee, which can be dropped off in Mr. Stous’s room (307) or Miss Mills’ room (205), exact cash only (all proceeds go to Mini-THON).
Decorate your car (they are decorated in any way you choose, as long as they are school-appropriate).
Post a picture of your decorated car on social media and tag @swminithon.
DO NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION - LICENSE PLATE #
Send the picture to minithon@southwesternsd.org.
Time Frame:
Mustang Vision advertisement submitted by Friday, 9/15, will run on Monday 9/18
Advertisement posted on social media on Monday, 9/18
Registration will begin Wednesday the 20th and will close the following Wednesday the 27th.
We will be accepting pictures from the 20th to the 27th at 5 p.m.
Voting will take place on the 28th from 8 a.m. to the 29th at 12 p.m. and will be sent out through a Google Form link.
Winners:
The top three winners will be determined by a school-wide voting contest, a Google form will be sent out and our student body will vote on which one they like the best (participants’ names are not put on the voting form). Voting will take place September 28th and 29th, and the winner will be announced that Friday the 29th.
The prizes are as follows:
1st place - Will receive the Mini-THON parking spot in the teacher lot for 2 months and a $1,000.00 e-gift card to Wax On Wax Off Pro Detailing! They will also receive a shoutout on our social media and free Mini-THON merch.
2nd place - Will receive a Chick-fil-A gift basket (valued at $50), a shoutout on our social media, and free Mini-THON merch.
and 3rd place - Will receive a gift card for 6 free cupcakes to Cooper’s Cakes & Pastries, a shoutout on our social media, and free Mini-THON merch.
(If the winner does not need the Mini-THOn parking spot then it will be passed to the second-place winner)

Locker Flocking - $5 - Have a student's locker decorated
Classroom Flocking - $10 - Teacher’s classroom will be covered in pink flamingos and signs for Mini-Thon
Small Yard Flocking - $15 - Yard will be covered in some pink plastic flamingos and signs for Mini-Thon
Large Yard Flocking - $30 Yard will be covered with all the pink plastic flamingos and signs for Mini-Thon

South Western Mini-THON is an event established to celebrate months of fundraising by South Western High School students to benefit Four Diamonds and the families they serve.
Tickets will be sold for $5 in advance and $8 at the door.

Course description:
Aerial Yoga Class 1 - 1:00 - 1:45 pm Aerial Yoga Class 2 - 2:00 - 2:45 pm
Aerial Yoga Class 3- 3:00 - 3:45 pm
The class is for those new to aerial yoga. We will cover the basic wraps and postures so that you will learn how to invert, fly, and flow. We will use the swing to keep alignment, build strength in the body and improve flexibility. Plus lots of fun! No Jewelry or Chewing Gum Permitted. All jewelry including wedding rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings must be removed prior to class. Jewelry can cause injury to self and also damage the fabric. Wear comfortable clothing, preferably no tank tops or sleeveless shirts. Bring a yoga mat (or there are some at the studio to borrow). Must fill out a waiver to participate. (Waiver will be sent to your email)
Entrance and Parking - The studio is located at 129 Broadway. Entrance is around back through the parking garage. There is ample street parking on Broadway, but you may also park in the attached parking garage where the entrance is. There is also a municipal lot with meters.
Come out to the North Hanover Bowling Center and bring $15 to bowl for 2 hours with free shoe rental and support South Western Mini-THON!
The SW Mini-THON leadership team has organized an exciting new event, a badminton tournament! Different organizations and sports teams of South Western are coming together to play badminton for a great cause. Come watch organizations duke it out in a match of badminton and cheer on your favorite team! Admission is just a suggested donation of $2 and concessions will be available, as well as Mini-THON merchandise.
Pictures with Santa are $8 if paid for by Friday, December 7, and $10 there after.

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is referred to as "Giving Tuesday,” and kicks off the season of charitable giving and helping those in need. Please consider supporting the South Western Mini-THON on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, and share your donation on social media using the hashtag #GivingTuesday. Your support will help ensure that no child has to fight cancer alone!
In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and our strong community partnerships, the South Western Mini-THON leadership team would like to invite a representative from local businesses and organizations and a guest to attend the 2018 Gold Out Football Game Sponsors Tailgate on September 28, at 6:00 p.m. Join us for some great tailgate food, an opportunity to meet local Four Diamonds families, and information on how your business can join us in the fight to Conquer Childhood Cancer. After the tailgate we will move to the stadium for the football game between South Western and Central York, and on-field recognition of the largest donors to the 2018 South Western Mini-THON.
Come watch members of the South Western staff try to relive their glory days on the court as they take on members of our girls' and boys' basketball teams. All proceeds benefit South Western Mini-THON!
